1st entry

Here, in front of me, is my first entry on Live Journal. Erin recommended me to the site, and I'm glad she did, because this is fun! I do have to call her and ask her for her user name, though.
So, what's up with my life right now? Well, there is no school (Duh! It's summer!), and I have been dancing intensively at my dance school, Marin Ballet. Our shortest day is only from 11:15 am to 3:45 pm, and our longest is from 10:00 am to 5:15 pm. I love the longest day the best, and I wish every day was as long as that, or even longer. On Mondays, I have ballet technique, pointe, variations and jazz. Tuesday I have Technique, pointe, west african and repertoire. Wednesday is tech, pointe, variations, and modern. Thursday brings along Tech, pointe, West African, and repertoire, while Fridays I have Technique, pointe, repertoire, modern, and Technique Lab. Summer is so much fun with all this dancing! For the performance, my class is doing a dance choreographed by one of my teachers, Ms. Crockett. The 2 guys in my class do a duet (duh) and one of them has a solo. Then there is the corps of 7 girls, and then the quartet. And guess what? I'm in the quartet! Also, since I am the shortest of the quartet, in our diamond from we are in, I get to be front and center! Woohooo! It'll be fun since the dance is on pointe.
Anyway, the major news in my life (besides my dance) is that I'm moving...cross-country! I'm moving from bright, sunny, good weather California, to humid-in-the-summer, rainstorms-in-the-summer, freezing-snow-in-the-winter Massachusetts. I currently go to a very good public school (with high tests scores!!!) to a private school thats...get this...all girls! I'm going to miss my friends soooo much!
So yesterday, I went to the movies with my friend Kat (short for Katharina) and we saw The Island. I recommend it.
So this Friday is the going-away party that my friend Devon is throwing for me. I even got to make the guest list!
